“Indie Rock Lives in Der Spazm” by Karl Smarkel

Sometime last week we did an interview with Karl Smarkel of ranSACedmedia - he hung out with us at our studio and enjoyed a Der Spazm practice session.

Please read his write up here:

Be sure to see us tomorrow at Old Ironsides!!! (1/27/2012) 9pm 21+ $5.00!!

Our first show of the year is set to take place at the local sacramento bar Old Ironsides this FRIDAY (1/27/2012).
Our next show will not be until Feb. 25th, after that our only show for March will be out in the S.F. area! During that time we will be working on recording and writing new songs - so be sure to come out and catch us while you can.
This night has a good line-up with two of the bands coming back after being out of the scene for quite sometime!
Razorblade Monalisa:
“A Razorblade Monalisa show is almost more of a cinematic experience than musical one. Each song is a set piece; from a hard-rocking wall-of-sound onslaught one moment and then a dreamy but desperate ballad the next.”

The Alcohol Plague:
A melodic post-punk two man band - with a uniqe set up including a drummer who stands while playing electric drums and keyboard at the sametime. They first took to the sacramento music scence as CACAPOOPOOPEEPEE - but after their bassist left, the band stopped playing shows and went back to the drawing board figuring out their new set up and how to create a bass sound without an actual bass player.
They played a show back in August of 2011, and after a 4 month break The Alcohol Plague returns to open up this saturdays gig!

Happy Holidays - See you next year!

We had a great time last night at THE PRESS CLUB with our good friends KILLDEVIL and we also met a couple of really cool bands from Portland, Company and Divers!

2011 has been such a good year for us we are very excited for what 2012 will bring. We will be heading back into the studio and eventually release our first music video. We will also be focusing more on playing out-of-town shows, and our hometown shows will be more spread out. And finally, be on the look out for some new band merch, we are getting greared up to have a strong 2012!!

we would like to thank everyone for all of their support! Sacramento is such an awesome place - we have grown so much as a band here and we love it.

So have a fun and safe christmas and happy news years, see you on January 27th at Old Ironsides!!
